In the 2021 interview on Sarah Grynberg’s podcast, A Life of Greatness, Justin Baldoni candidly discussed his early exposure to pornography. The actor reveals that he was introduced to it at the age of 10. He described developing an unhealthy relationship with porn. He stated, “I trained my brain to deal with pain with the dopamine hit… But it doesn’t mean that I’m not using something in an unhealthy way.” He elaborated on how he often turned to images and videos of naked women during difficult times. Baldoni highlights the cultural factors that contribute to the sexualization of the female body in American society.

Justin’s old video resurfaces

The resurfacing of Baldoni’s comments comes in the wake of Lively’s allegations, which include claims of inappropriate behaviour and creating a toxic work environment during the filming of It Ends With Us. According to court documents, Baldoni was warned not to show nude videos or images of women to Lively. He was urged to refrain from discussing his porn addiction and making inappropriate remarks about the cast and crew. Lively has accused Baldoni of orchestrating a smear campaign against her, aiming to damage her reputation.

Baldoni’s legal team has vehemently denied Lively’s allegations. They describe them as completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, suggested that Lively’s lawsuit is a desperate attempt to manage her negative reputation.

The combination of Baldoni’s past admissions and the serious allegations from Lively has placed him under intense scrutiny. Particularly as the controversy unfolds following the release of It Ends With Us in August 2024. The situation continues to develop, with both parties standing firm in their respective positions.
